The Mission

AMALIA Mission Overview

The main Xprize requirements imposed by Google to complete the mission and win the Google Lunar XPrize (GLXP) competition are the following:
- Safely land a spacecraft on the Moon by the end of 2015
- Move at least 500 metres on, above or below the Moon surface, with the landed vehicle or a carried secondary vehicle
- Send at least two Mooncasts, defined as a package of videos and images, one for the arrival and one at the mission completion
